Hi, my name is mostlynick and I specialize in one-button macros to help me facilitate my addiction for multiboxing.
I was recently asked what Holy Paladin healing macro I use when I multibox. I’ll be frank, multiboxing a holy paladin as a slave toon only through macros is a terrible idea. But, with fortunate positioning, a large mana pool (stack intellect gems!), the paladin in auto attack range of the enemy, etc., it can kind of work. So here’s what I use.
Requirements:
- This macro is optimized for multiboxing scenarios and requires both GSE and SuperDuperMacro (SDM) addons, available at https://yggdrasilwow.com/page/downloads.
- The setup assumes you focus the tank upon entering combat and position the paladin centrally among damage-taking party members to maximize splash healing effectiveness while Beacon of Light maintains the tank.

Concluding notes:
- The point of the commas: When players cast spells it resets their swing timer. The commas are baked in at differing intervals to force breaks that allow the swing timer to activate. NOTE: In GSE, each line is treated separately so depending on how fast you press the button, you will encounter “dead zones” sooner or later. Adjust the number of commas or how fast you click the macro based on your play style.
- Mouseover flexibility: The macro will attempt to stun unfriendly targets you mouseover, or prioritize healing your mouseover target. Without a mouseover, it heals your current target (or yourself if no target is selected), while Beacon of Light automatically heals your focused target (typically the tank). Mouseover healing takes priority over all other targeting. This lets you flexibly use your paladin for targeted heals even as a slave toon or relaxed healing where you jump in with manual actions only when need be; just hover over your target and click the macro for tageted heals.
- Self buffs: All self buffs are handled automatically.
- No raid buffs: It is theoretically possible to macro in Pally Power buffing through /click [nocombat] macros, but since that burns symbols, I don’t do this.
